How do you receive our camping gear?

Good news: It’s easy. Your items are shipped to the hotel where you will stay for your first night or to a commercial pickup location along your route using a parcel delivery service (www.ups.com). The box will already be waiting for you when you arrive. In the box is a prepaid return label which you can use when you drop the box off at any of the hundreds of UPS locations on your way back to the airport. There is no rental fee for the time your box is in transit. You can use the same box to return your items, or if the box has been damaged during your trip, you can buy a new one for only a few dollars. The tent rental company “ Lower Gear” (in business for over 10 years ) is located in Phoenix, not far from the airport. So if your trip starts in Phoenix, you can pick up the equipment at the store itself. (In that case the rate will be reduced by $ 90.)

If your trip starts in Albuquerque, NM, we can meet you at the airport. (No shipping  deduction though)

Please keep in mind that all UPS centers and the Lower Gear store are closed on Sundays.

In your boxes you will find everything you need for a comfortable camping experience: a roomy tent, warm sleeping bags, insulated mattress pads and  cooking gear consisting of a 2 pit burner, 2 pans and the utensils.
